This sealant also exhibits remarkable adhesion on a wide range of substrates, including porous and non-porous surfaces such as hard PVC and aluminium.

Soudal Bathroom & Kitchen EASY Sealant is suitable for a wide range of common building substrates, both porous and non-porous. This includes hard PVC and aluminium.
However, it is not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE (e.g., Teflon®), bituminous substrates, copper, or copper-containing materials such as bronze and brass.
For specific substrates not mentioned here, we recommend conducting a preliminary adhesion test before applying the sealant.
To achieve optimal adhesion, surfaces must be clean, dry, free of dust, and grease. Before applying the sealant, thoroughly clean the surfaces to be sealed and ensure they are completely dry.
Remove any existing sealant or adhesive residues. We highly recommend performing a preliminary adhesion test on every surface to ensure compatibility and adhesion.
To apply Soudal Bathroom & Kitchen EASY Sealant, you will need a caulking gun for fast and efficient application.
Cut the nozzle to the desired size, at a 45-degree angle, to control the bead size. Load the cartridge into the caulking gun and apply consistent pressure on the trigger to dispense the sealant.
Apply the sealant directly into the joint, making sure to fill the gap completely.
For best results, spray the surface with a soapy solution before the sealant begins to skin. This enables easy smoothing and ensures a smooth, professional finish.
Once the sealant is applied, it can be smoothly finished using the Soudaglatt Smoothing Tool or a similar tool of your choice. Simply run the tool smoothly along the sealant line to create an even finish.
If a smoothing tool is not available, a wetted finger can be used to achieve a similar effect. Perform the finishing process before the sealant begins to skin, ensuring a neat and tidy appearance.
Coverage of any sealant product varies depending on Joint Width and Joint Depth.

Minimum Width for Joints: 5 mm
Maximum Width for Joints: 20 mm
Minimum Depth for Joints: 5 mm
Recommendation Sealing Jobs: Joint Width = Joint Depth.
Clean any uncured sealant immediately after use with water. Wipe off any excess sealant to avoid it drying on surfaces. Please note that once the sealant cures, it becomes difficult to remove. Therefore, it is essential to clean the product residue promptly.
Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible.
Paintable with most paints.
The paint must be sufficiently elastic to allow application on a plasto-elastic sealant.
Given the great diversity in available paints it is recommended to do a compatibility test prior to application.
Allow the joint to cure for 7 days before touching or cleaning.
