I applied this on the slabs in my back garden and also tried it on the decking and after a few days the 'green stuff' had disappeared! What a difference! Some areas where the moss was really bad required a second coat but I'm amazed at how well it works. My decking is no longer a slipping hazard!

The product must be kept out of reach of children and animals and should not be ingested. Avoid inhaling spray mist and ensure the area is well ventilated if used in enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces.

Green Gone Path & Patio Cleaner is suitable for a wide range of outdoor hard surfaces affected by green growth and algae, including patios, paving stones, driveways, brickwork, decking, stonework, fences, roofs and garden paths.
It can be used safely on concrete, tarmac, natural stone, slate, and most other masonry-type substrates. However, it is not recommended for use on substrates that are sensitive to water or chemical cleaning agents, or on surfaces prone to run-off into watercourses or planted areas.
Before applying Green Gone, it is essential to prepare the area by clearing away all loose surface debris such as leaves, twigs, soil, moss and weeds. Any thick layers of green growth or surface contaminants should be removed manually with a scraper or stiff brush to maximise product effectiveness.
The surface must be dry and free from pooling water at the time of application, and rain should not be forecast within at least 6 hours.
Green Gone Path & Patio Cleaner is supplied as a concentrate and must be diluted before use. For general cleaning and algae removal, dilute at a ratio of 1 part concentrate to 4 parts clean water. For example, one litre of concentrate should be mixed with four litres of water to make a ready-to-use solution. Ensure the solution is mixed thoroughly before application.
Once mixed, apply the diluted Green Gone solution evenly over the affected surface using a watering can with a rose head or a low-pressure spray device. Take care to avoid excessive run-off or over-application. Apply in dry conditions only and ensure no rainfall is expected for a minimum of 6 hours following application.
Coverage rates typically range from 3 to 6m² per litre of diluted solution, although this may vary depending on the porosity and condition of the surface. Highly porous or heavily contaminated areas may absorb more product and may require a second application.
A 5-litre container of Green Gone concentrate, when diluted at the recommended 1:4 ratio, will yield 25 litres of usable solution. This is sufficient to treat approximately 125 to 250m² of surface area, depending on the substrate and the severity of contamination.
The product requires no manual scrubbing or rinsing. Once applied, it should be left to work naturally, and visible results can typically be seen within 1 to 3 days. On some surfaces, full discolouration and breakdown of organic matter may take longer. It is essential to allow the solution to dry fully on the surface without disturbance to ensure maximum efficacy.
All tools and equipment used during the application should be rinsed thoroughly with clean water immediately after use. Avoid allowing residue to remain in sprayers, watering cans or other applicators, as this may cause clogging or damage over time. If any solution comes into contact with unintended surfaces such as painted areas, decorative metals or fabrics, rinse immediately with water to prevent discolouration.
Do not apply the product during wet or windy weather, or when rain is expected within six hours. Green Gone is not a bleach-based product and works gradually, breaking down algae and green deposits over time.
As with all chemical treatments, it is advisable to test the product in an inconspicuous area first to check for compatibility. For heavily soiled surfaces, a second application may be necessary after several days. Store the concentrate in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and ensure the container is tightly sealed when not in use.
