Removing Cured PU Foam Residues: Soudal Cured PU Expanding Foam Remover is specifically designed for the complete removal of all cured PU foam residues. It can effectively eliminate remnants from PVC and aluminium frameworks or other smooth surfaces.
Suitable for PVC and Aluminium Frameworks: This foam remover is ideal for use on PVC and aluminium frameworks, ensuring the easy removal of cured PU foam residues. It safely and efficiently cleans these surfaces without causing damage or leaving any residue.
Soudal Cured PU Expanding Foam Remover is suitable for use on all non-porous surfaces. It should not be used on untreated copper, brass, zinc, acrylic paint, or PMMA (Plexiglass) as it may cause staining.
There is also a risk of staining on porous surfaces, plastics, and lacquer or paint layers.
Always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area before applying it to larger surfaces.
Mechanical Removal: Before applying the PU Remover, mechanically remove as much cured foam as possible. This can be done by cutting away the foam carefully or using a suitable tool to scrape it off.
Application: Using the enclosed brush, apply the PU Remover onto the cured PU foam. Ensure that the foam is completely covered with the remover.
Dwell Time: Leave the PU Remover on the cured foam for at least 30 minutes and a maximum of 2 hours. This allows the remover to break down the foam effectively.
Foam Removal: After the dwell time has elapsed, use the enclosed spatula to carefully remove the dissolved foam. Take care not to scratch the surface.
Wiping: Wipe off any residue or excess remover with a dry cloth. If necessary, repeat the treatment by reapplying the PU Remover to ensure complete removal.
NOTE: It is important to conduct a patch test on the surface before using the PU Remover, especially on plastics and lacquer or paint layers. This will help determine if the product reacts adversely to the surface.
Always stick to recommended working time to avoid damage of the surface.
