Soudafix P300-ST is an innovative two-component anchoring resin that combines polyester with Styrene to offer enhanced bonding properties. This chemical anchor is specifically formulated for the installation of anchoring rods, studs, reinforcing bars, threaded collars, and profiles into a wide range of building materials, including uncracked concrete, light concrete, solid and hollow bricks, porous concrete, natural stone, and plasterboard walls.
Soudafix P300-ST features a fast-curing formula that allows for quick overhead installations. It is engineered to achieve high bending and pressure strength, ensuring a durable and robust fixing suitable for supporting heavy loads.
Designed for ease of use, Soudafix P300-ST can be applied with a standard caulking gun, making it accessible for both DIY enthusiasts and professional contractors. The innovative cartridge design allows the resin to be reusable by simply exchanging the static mixer, which maximises efficiency and reduces waste.
The resin's formulation includes Styrene, which enhances its bonding capabilities while ensuring that the application is watertight and impermeable. This makes it an excellent choice for installations where moisture resistance is crucial. Furthermore, its pressure-free anchoring capability allows for safe installations even close to edges without risk of cracking or damage to the substrate.
High Bending and Pressure Strength: Soudafix P300-ST provides exceptional load-bearing capacity, crucial for securing heavy loads in structural applications. Its high strength ensures that anchors are capable of withstanding significant stress and strain without failure.
Fast Curing Time: The product's fast-curing properties facilitate quick project turnaround, which is particularly beneficial in commercial construction where time constraints are critical. This feature also enables rapid progression to subsequent construction phases.
Versatility: Suitable for use in a variety of building materials, Soudafix P300-ST provides a flexible solution for multiple fixing and anchoring needs. Whether used in solid or hollow materials, it maintains high performance and reliability.
Ease of Use: The ability to apply this resin with a standard caulking gun and the simplicity of changing static mixers for reuse make Soudafix P300-ST user-friendly and cost-effective.
Overhead Application Capability: Engineered for safe and effective overhead installations, this resin is ideal for projects that require upward fixings without the risk of dripping or sagging.
Watertight Applications: Once cured, Soudafix P300-ST creates a watertight seal around the anchor, which is essential for installations in moisture-prone areas or where a watertight seal is necessary.
Pressure-Free Anchoring: The formula allows for anchoring close to edges without inducing stress in the substrate, which is particularly useful in renovations and repairs where existing structural integrity must be maintained.
Heavy Load Fixing in Untracked Concrete: Ideal for securing heavy machinery, structural supports, and building facades in uncracked concrete environments.
Anchoring in Hollow Brick: When used in combination with sleeves, Soudafix P300-ST is perfect for hollow brick applications, ensuring secure and reliable fixings.
Infrastructure Projects: Suitable for use in various infrastructure projects, including bridges, roads, and tunnels where high strength and durability are required.
Renovation and Repair: Can be employed as a repair mortar for filling cracks and gaps in stone, concrete, and masonry, providing a sturdy and lasting solution.
Overhead Installations: From ceiling attachments to overhead ductwork, Soudafix P300-ST ensures safe and robust overhead installations.
Soudafix P300-ST is ideally used on all usual porous building substrates but demonstrates poor adhesion on smooth non-porous materials. When dealing with hollow materials, the use of sleeves is necessary to ensure effective anchorage.
This resin is specifically designed for secure fixations in substrates like uncracked concrete, light concrete, solid brick, hollow brick, natural stone, and porous concrete.
To achieve optimal results with Soudafix P300-ST, ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust and grease.
No specific treatment of the substrate is needed unless dealing with particularly dusty or greasy surfaces, in which a thorough cleaning would enhance adhesion.
When preparing for use in hollow materials, ensure that sleeves are appropriately placed to support the resin.
Drilling and Cleaning the Hole: Start by drilling the hole to the recommended depth according to the anchor size and the substrate requirements. Once drilled, the hole must be cleaned thoroughly using a brush followed by an air pump to remove all drilling dust and debris, which ensures a clean bonding surface for the resin.
Preparing the Resin Cartridge: For 300ml size cartridges, use a Standard Caulking Gun, and for 410ml cartridges, use a Single Cartridge Resin Applicator Gun. Attach the static mixer to the cartridge. Before application, dispense the first 10 cm of the product onto a piece of cardboard, discarding this initial amount to ensure the material inside the cartridge is well mixed and uniform in colour (dark grey).
Filling the Hole:
Solid Stone and Concrete: Fill the drilled hole from the bottom up, slowly withdrawing the nozzle as the resin fills the hole to avoid air pockets.
Hollow Brick: Insert the necessary sleeve into the drilled hole. Begin filling the sleeve from the bottom, ensuring the resin is pressed through the tiny holes of the sleeve for secure anchorage.
Inserting the Anchoring Rod: Place the anchoring rod into the filled hole using a twisting left-right motion to ensure the rod is fully coated with resin, enhancing the grip. Inspect the filled hole to confirm adequate filling and absence of air gaps.
Curing: Allow the resin to cure without moving the anchoring rod. The specific hardening time will depend on the ambient temperature and the substrate but observing this is critical to achieve full strength.
Once the resin has cured, any excess product protruding from the substrate surface should be left to harden completely. This excess can then be removed mechanically using a hammer and chisel to ensure a clean finish.
Before Cure: Any excess resin should be wiped off immediately with a cloth. Clean the area with white spirit or acetone to remove any residues effectively.
After Cure: Once the resin has fully cured, it is advisable to remove any unwanted spills or excess mechanically, as cured resin is best handled this way.
After the resin has fully cured and the area is cleaned, proceed with the installation of the component. Apply the correct torque to any fixtures being installed to ensure a secure and safe installation.
