To achieve optimal adhesion and the best sealing results, proper surface preparation is crucial. Ensure that the surfaces to be sealed are clean, dry, free of dust, and grease.
Before applying the sealant, thoroughly clean the surfaces using an appropriate cleaner, and ensure they are completely dry. It is essential to remove any existing sealant or adhesive residues using a suitable removal tool.
To apply Soudal Window & Door EASY Sealant, you will need a caulking gun for fast and efficient application.
Cut the nozzle to the desired size, at a 45-degree angle, to control the bead size. Load the cartridge into the caulking gun and apply consistent pressure on the trigger to dispense the sealant.
Apply the sealant directly into the joint, making sure to fill the gap completely.
For best results, spray the surface with a soapy solution before the sealant begins to skin. This enables easy smoothing and ensures a smooth, professional finish.
Once the sealant is applied, it can be smoothly finished using the Soudaglatt Smoothing Tool or a similar tool of your choice. Simply run the tool smoothly along the sealant line to create an even finish.
If a smoothing tool is not available, a wetted finger can be used to achieve a similar effect. Perform the finishing process before the sealant begins to skin, ensuring a neat and tidy appearance.
Coverage of any sealant product varies depending on Joint Width and Joint Depth.

Minimum Width for Joints: 5mm
Maximum Width for Joints: 20mm
Minimum Depth for Joints: 5mm
Recommendation Sealing Jobs: Joint Width = Joint Depth.
Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible.
Paintable with most paints.
The paint must be sufficiently elastic to allow application on a plasto-elastic sealant.
Given the great diversity in available paints it is recommended to do a compatibility test prior to application.
Allow the joint to cure for 7 days before touching or cleaning.
