Introducing Soudal Soudaflex 33SL - the industry-leading Self Levelling Polyurethane Floor Sealant. Designed with the customer in mind, Soudaflex 33SL is impressively straightforward to apply and remains elastic after curing, thus ensuring long-lasting functionality and durability. Excelling in concrete flooring applications, it stands out with strong bonding capabilities on an array of materials.
With a notable resistance to an extensive range of chemicals, Soudaflex 33SL adheres to DIN EN 14187-4, 5, and 6, synonymous with its capacity to resist change in mass and volume after immersion, withstand hydrolysis, and maintain adhesion/cohesion properties when in contact with fuels and chemicals.
A testament to its robustness is its ability to resiliently withstand external factors such as high temperatures and humidity, while negating the occurrence of bubbles within the sealant. With remarkable non-staining properties, Soudaflex 33SL effectively maintains the visual integrity of natural stone, concrete, marble, and granite, among others.
Soudaflex 33SL is not just about performance; it's also about sustainability. It is supplied in 600ml Foil-Pack cartridges, which facilitate up to 95% LESS wastage, ensuring a reduced carbon footprint and easy disposal without compromising product quality.
Self Levelling Polyurethane Floor Sealant: It assures the creation of a smooth, uniform layer, saving application time and effort.
Adherence to DIN EN 14187 Standards: Demonstrates the product's superior resistance to changes in mass, volume, and exceptional adhesion/cohesion properties, even after immersion in fuels and harmful chemicals.
Excellent Chemical Resistance: Capable of resisting splash, spillage contact, and withstanding long term intense contact-immersion (up to 1 week), offering durability and longevity.
Good Weather and UV Resistance: Prolonged exposure to sunlight and changing weather conditions do not affect the sealant's quality, performance, and colour.
Permanent Elasticity after Curing: Offers flexibility while maintaining a solid, impenetrable seal, ensuring optimal performance.
Non-Staining on Porous Surfaces: Maintains the aesthetic appeal of surfaces like marble, granite, and other natural stones, presenting a clean, professional appearance.
Supplied in 600ml Environmentally Friendly Foil-Pack Cartridges: Reduces environmental impact with decreased wastage (up to 95% less), additionally facilitating easy disposal.
Sealing of Shrinking Joints in Concrete Floors: Soudaflex 33SL excels in this, allowing flexibility and movement without compromising on the seal's integrity.
Sealing of Floor Expansion Joints: Leveraging its excellent adhesion and elasticity, Soudaflex 33SL is a go-to product when sealing floor expansion joints where high degrees of movement are anticipated.
All usual Horizontal Building, Connection, Expansion, and Dilatation Joints: Its multi-surface adhesion and flexibility make Soudaflex 33SL an excellent choice for various horizontal building joints, reliably accommodating for expansion and contraction.
Sealing Joints in Environments where Fuel and Oil Contact Occurs: Owing to its fuel and chemical resistance features, Soudaflex 33SL is ideally suited to garages or other similar environments where fuel and oil spills are commonplace, preserving the integrity of sealed joints despite exposure.
Tested and Conforms to DIN EN 14187-4: Change in mass and volume following storage in chemical liquids.
Tested and Conforms to DIN EN 14187-5: Resistance to hydrolysis.
Tested and Conforms to DIN EN 14187-6: Adhesion / cohesion properties following storage in chemical liquids.
Soudal Technical Bulletin No. 2017-WD0101 dd. April 6, 2017 regarding Chemical Resistance.
All surfaces should be clean, dry, free of dust and grease.
Apply Soudal Primer 100 on porous substrates. Always use Primer 100 on natural stone, no primer required on non-porous substrates. All smooth surfaces can be treated with Soudal Surface Activator.
There is no adhesion on glass, PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®) and bituminous substrates.
We recommend a preliminary compatibility test.
Application Method: Apply using the Soudal Manual Foil Pack Applicator. Use masking tape if necessary. Apply Soudaflex 33SL evenly without air inclusions into the joint. Remove masking tape before skin formation.
Cleaning: Clean with white spirit or Surface Cleaner immediately after use.
Repair: With the same material
Coverage of any sealant product varies depending on Joint Width and Joint Depth.
Minimum Width for Joints: 10 mm
Maximum Width for Joints: 30 mm
Minimum Depth for Joints: 10 mm
Recommendation Sealing Jobs: Joint Depth = 0.8 x Joint Width.
Soudaflex 33SL is self-levelling and therefore cannot be used for vertical joints.
When painted with oxidative drying paints disturbances in the drying of the paint may occur (we recommend to do a compatibility test before application).
Soudaflex 33SL has a good UV resistance but can discolour under extreme conditions or after very long UV exposure.
Chemical resistance strongly depends on concentration, temperature and exposure time. Some chemicals may lead to a change in volume, mechanical properties or the visual aspect of the sealant.
It is recommended to do a compatibility test prior to application.
Contact with bitumen, tar or other plasticizer releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene, butyl, etc. is to be avoided since it can give rise to discolouration and loss of adhesion.
Do not apply or allow to cure in the presence of uncured silicone sealants, alcohol - or other solvent cleaners.
When using different reactive joint sealants, the first joint sealant must be completely hardened before the next one is applied.
