Soudatight LQ Liquid is a Premium Quality, Airtight, Fibre Reinforced Polymer Paste which can be applied quickly and easily by brush. Soudatight LQ forms an Airtight and Vapour tight elastic membrane after drying and can fill cracks of up to 5mm due to the fibre content. Larger cracks and gaps can be reinforced further when used in conjunction Soudatextile Fabric Membrane.
Soudatight LQ can be used for general airtightness on any joint connections such as floor to wall joints, wall to ceiling joints, wall to wall joints and window connections. It can also be painted or plastered over once dry.

Good product, quite expensive though
This is a great product that creates flexible membrane between your windows/doors and bricks instead of using sealing tape and adhesive. I applied it with brush after our windows were fitted. I was also able to cover small gaps - just needed to apply thicker layer. One bucket of Soudatight was enough to cover 7 windows, front door and french door.

Soudatight LQ Liquid is a Premium Quality, Airtight, Fibre Reinforced Polymer Paste which can be applied quickly and easily by brush.
Soudatight LQ forms an Airtight and Vapour tight elastic membrane after drying and can fill cracks of up to 5mm due to the fibre content. Larger cracks and gaps can be reinforced further when used in conjunction Soudatextile Fabric Membrane.
A second coat of Soudatight LQ can be applied after the skin formation of the first coat.
If using with Soudatextile Fabric Membrane, then apply Soudatextile in between the first and second coat of Soudatight LQ. More coats can be applied if required.
Soudatight LQ is virtually odourless and can be painted or plastered over once dry. Recommended for interior use only.
Note: Black colour appears Blue on application which turns Black once dried.

For interior use only, Soudatight LQ is suitable for application on all common porous surfaces in construction and renovation. Materials used by window manufacturers such as PVC, aluminium and wood. If using on the Soudal SWS Window Tapes, remove liner if present.
Compatible with most EPDM and bitumen.
Drying times may increase onto non porous substrates.
Not suitable for use on glass, PE, PP and PTFE.
Generally, no pre-treatment is required.
Make sure surfaces are clean and free of grease. Slightly moist or slightly dusty substrates are not a problem.
A preliminary adhesion test on every surface is always recommended.
Static joints, gaps or seams of up to 5mm.
Cracks, joint or gaps above 5mm can be filled with Soudafoam Window & Door SWS or closed / covered with Soudatextile in combination with Soudatight LQ.
It is strongly recommended that Soudatight LQ is brought to room temperature before use, otherwise its processing properties may be adversely affected. Stir well before use and DO NOT dilute with water or solvents.
Soudatight LQ is applied directly from the packaging onto the surface using flat brush. The product must be spread/coated onto the surface.
Apply Soudatight LQ evenly in several layers (at least 2) on the substrate to a layer thickness of (minimum) 1mm and (maximum) 3mm. For the best possible coverage, the product is applied the second time under a different angle.
It is recommended to apply the 2nd layer only after skin formation occurs at the first layer. The application thickness must be measured (wet) using a wet film comb.
For Window Applications: Ensure that Soudatight LQ forms a seamless membrane of at least 3mm on the window frame, over cured Expanding Foam to ±5cm on the reveal area of the structural work. The use of Masking Tape (on the window frame) is recommended. This should, however, be removed shortly after the application of Soudatight LQ, before curing.
For Wall to Floor Connections: Apply Soudatight LQ sufficiently high (to above the water barrier) to guarantee an overlap with the plaster.
For Wall to Wall, or Wall to Ceiling Connections: Ensure that Soudatight LQ forms a seamless membrane over the joint with a minimum width of 3mm on both sides ofthe joint.
Approx 0.5kg-1Kg/m², depending on the porosity of the substrate.
A 4.5Kg Bucket should cover between 2.25m² - 4.5m².
Before curing, Soudatight LQ can be removed with water from hands, substrates and tools.
